Active in the Oxidation of cycloalkanes, thiols, cysteine to cystine ecc. with molecular oxygen or air. An example of the activity and selectivity of powders obtained by MVS technique: Hydrosilylation of acetylenic compounds with a commercial Au catalyst and with an analogous system prepared via Metal Vapour Synthesis technique.
